This is a list of known monarchs and rulers of the Vozonid civilisation, from the late Third Vozonid Empire to the early Fourth Vozonid Empire.

Unless noted, all monarchs are listed as male.

Early Vozonid rulers[]

  • Indarùl Mog'altha the Wise (2000s 16A) - protected the Zonunja tribes from the Human Sanctification Project and its deadly mutations, fortified his realm against the Ardeschi hordes and the undead.
  • Wozondo (4000s 16A) - founder of the Vozonid civilisation, which was named after him. A cruel tyrant who destroyed the Gauvajut Empire.

Late Third Vozonid Empire[]

The Awarau Era, an era of artistic creativity, lasted from 8231 to 8863, for 632 years. The Third Vozonid Empire during that time was neither a spacefaring nation, nor it was as powerful as the Fainos Empire (located at the isles of Dwernos and Oguil, northwest of Ardesch).

Airoghlondo Dynasty (79 years; 8860 16A to 8939 16A)[]

The Airoghlondo Dynasty begun three years before the end of the Awarau Era.

  • Sollovoz Airoghlhondo (79 years, son)
  • Losson I (25 years, great-grandson, abdicated)
  • Taruodal (98 years, brother)
  • (many emperors later)

Tarolkai Dynasty[]

  • Irjomykhoz Suncutter
    • An arrogant monarch who was known for his boasts. He met his end when he rode on a chariot pulled by gryphons, threatening to cut the Sun into half. The weight of the gryphons caused the chariot to tip over, and he fell down the valley to his death.

Gankalingaz Dynasty (-19 to 250 years after the end of the 16th Age)[]

  • Korongaz
    • 1 September, 10010 16A - The Sixteenth Age was considered over. Fireworks were lit all over Vozolaz to mark the start of a better future, and effigies of historical enemies were burned.

Manditūr Dynasty (172 years; 2,786 to 2,958 years after the end of the 16th Age)[]

The Manditur kings were cruel and vicious. Their flag was a silver ring with nine gems.

  • Manditūr I (12 years)
  • Manditūr II (81 years, gc)
    • This king was an immortal. He expanded Vozolaz on the 30th year of his reign, but lost the eastern parts during his 48th year.
    • He planned to revitalise his space navy to conquer the Jerdiskar solar system, but he mistakenly took a chemical that rapidly mutated his body, causing him to become into a monster. In his panic, he fled from the palace, and by the time he was out of the gate, he burst into acid and died.
  • Manditūr III (79 years, gc)
    • Like his father, he was an immortal. He defeated his three brothers during his 4th year on the throne.
    • One of his brothers, Aljatroz, aided his enemy and successor, Sarmelon I. Aljatroz was disappointed with his brother's corruption.
    • He was almost going to turn Vozolaz into a federation, but he instead created an oligarchy of immortals, with himself as its god-king.
    • 29 May, 47 - Manditur III plundered an ancient tomb to the east, and a demon left a dagger at his robes. Nine nights later, the dagger exploded, unleashing various evil spirits.
    • 7-16 June, 47 - For nine days, ghost sightings were reported all over Vozolaz and nearby lands. The priests interpreted this as a sign that the Gods are upset at Manditur's corruption.
    • 16 June, 47 - Aronzo was born. An army of spirits bowed down to the baby boy, and the angel that led them explained to his parents that he was destined to bring Vozolaz to greatness, but warned them to keep that a secret. The hauntings end when the ghosts bow to Aronzo's birthplace.
    • He was challenged by Aronzo, a rebel from the southeast. He was later killed in battle as Aronzo crushed his head.

Early Fourth Vozonid Empire (2,570 years)[]

Early Sarmelonid Dynasty (164 years)[]

The symbol of this dynasty was a golden gryphon holding a burning khopesh-sword, wearing a helmet crown. That symbol became the flag of the Vozonid Empire.

  • Sarmelon I (63 years; 1-63 SE)
    • Originally Aronzo Skarojon Sarmelonizo. He sought to make his Vozonid nation adopt the ways of the Gauvajuts, in honour of his pantheon for his victories. He established Khattusar (First Hattazon) as the imperial capital city on 9th March.
    • Sarmelon also went with an army of saints and sixteen human followers to a jungle in the east, where they slaughtered the demons that were about to invade Vozolaz.
    • In his 24th year, his armies repelled the Pelarin-Aradasorin Alliance from the east.
    • 24 February, 63 - he died of old age. His body was cremated and his remains were interred in a shrine to Pjosaroz in the western mountains that became the tomb of future emperors.
    • His sons were given vials of the Manditur emperors' elixir to make them and their wives remain immortal. Only after Sarmelon died were all of them - the princes and their wives - turned into truly ageless people: however, in the process, Suntsho's wife became a mortal. Her body will eventually stop working after several decades, and none of the elixirs would stop her coming doom.
  • Sarmelon II (78 years)
    • Originally Suntšo Rhyombiro.
    • Became ageless and immortal after his father died. His wife also became an ageless, beautiful woman, given the same divine strength of the emperor with her husband.
    • Although he was ageless, he knew that his wife will still die. All the immortality elixirs will never work to stop her coming doom. So he went to a temple and prayed so that when the time comes, he and his wife be together.
    • At the age of 118, he and his wife died in their sleep, peacefully cuddling in their bed as ageless, young adults. Knowing that they were still together, they smiled as they breathed their last. His grandson, who became Sarmelon III, cremated him and his grandmother, and placed their remains next to his father.
    • His brothers chose not to fight him for the throne, but to defend Vozolaz. One by one, these ageless heroes vanished or passed away, reappearing as gods as they were reunited with Suntsho and their father in Heaven.
  • Sarmelon III (23 years, gc, abdicated)
    • In the 10th year of his reign, in the unluckiest and the most haunted day of that year (July 25), the last rat in Vozolaz was found and killed. Rats became extinct in the Vozonid Empire, until the addition of new territories led to the slaughter of more rats.
    • To celebrate and ward off any evil spirits, the Vozonids held a great celebration. Paper floats were raised at night, and piles of rat skulls were put up to celebrate Vozolaz being the third nation to be free of all rats.

Īralto Dynasty (250 years)[]

Sarmelon III's son, Īraltoz, decided to rename his dynasty.

  • Īralto I (34 years, son)
    • On the 24th year of his reign, Aljatroz bid farewell to him. Iralto bowed before his feet and thanked him. A month later, he found Aljatroz as a sage, living alone at a hermitage at the western mountains by a pool of lotuses. He and other people occasionally visited him, seeking omens from the Gods.
  • Īralto II (28 years, brother)
    • On the 4th year of his reign, the last cuckoo birds in Vozolaz were exterminated. Cuckoos are seen in Vozonid culture as evil parasites, hence the slaughter of every cuckoo and their eggs.
    • When no more cuckoos were found within Vozonid borders, the whole empire celebrated with a public holiday. Little piles of skulls collected from slain cuckoos were raised to celebrate the total destruction of that hated bird, while other nations angrily avoided the country for several months. The mango tree where the last cuckoos were found was venerated as a holy tree, and a temple was built nearby.
    • A few activists released a few cuckoos and escaped back to their homeland, but their birds were mercilessly slaughtered after three months. Meanwhile, one neighbour of the activists' country was infested with cuckoos, killing off several species of birds until the cuckoos starved. Eventually, the Vozonid Empire spread, and wherever the Vozonids ruled, cuckoos were hunted down along with other parasitical animals.
  • Īralto III (18 years, son, abdicated to become an artist)
    • On the final year of his reign, Aljatroz disappeared. Vozonids believed that he ascended to Heaven where he became into a gryphon spirit to guide the Emperors.
  • Īralto IV (83 years, gc)
    • His third edict as Emperor was to make Vozolaz "the forge of the world". That meant establishing recycling plants all over the empire, accepting widespread requests to recycle the widespread scrap in some cities. Some of the scrap was left behind by crashed alien starships, most likely from Terran raiders and other aliens.
      • Some Terran prisoners were kept in the recycling plants as their punishment, to remake scrap and rubbish. On the third year, a wave of protests led the Emperor to order all Terran prisoners to be sent back to their homeworlds, allowing poorer and jobless volunteers (the ones who led the protests) to happily replace them.
    • His request was considered unusual to the other nations of the world, as he wanted everyone else to relieve themselves of the landfills suffocating their nations. They were so desperate for a solution after many nations refused to be rubbish dumps, that they eventually agreed.
    • Within ten years, the Vozonid economy grew from the monthly shipments of rubbish and scrap, returned to other lands as fertiliser, raw materials, machines, and vehicles for sale. The resulting sales made Vozolaz become richer, until at the eighth year it was the only nation in the region with an economy on par with the richer parts of Ardesch.
    • A golden age started during the tenth year of his reign.
  • Īralto V (87 years, killed in a train accident)

Audari Dynasty (86 years)[]

One of Īralto I's nephews, Audarjoz, was given the throne as Īralto V and his three sons died in a train accident.

  • Audar I (32 years, died of illness)
    • On the 11th year of his reign, a male cat was caught after some villagers saw it kill several kittens. It was trapped in a cage, restrained, and beheaded, punished for allegedly violating the "Laws of Life" by killing kittens, even though as an animal it had no understanding of any rules.
    • Some nations were outraged by the killing of the cat, mainly because it was just an animal. Several companies left Vozolaz, but the Vozonid economy still thrived.
  • Audar II (14 years, son, abdicated)
  • Audar III (40 years, brother, abdicated)
    • On June 23rd of the 2nd year of his reign, Audisar was set up as "Second Hattazon", his capital city.
  • The Audari Civil War broke out on August 5th, during his 38th year.

Thandzharo Dynasty (160 years)[]

The Thandzharo Dynasty was of Šarazno origin, of a tan-skinned people with green eyes who lived northwest of Vozolaz in modern-day Bīvos. Their name means "golden dynasty".

  • Thandzhowoz the Architect (79 years, died of illness)
    • Thandzhowoz was Audar III's most trusted servant, and was given the Gryphon Throne for being a supposedly-more trustworthy leader than his reckless sons.
    • On April 1 of the 36th year of his reign, Khattusar was reestablished as the capital city instead of Audisar.
  • Thosondil VII the Wise (77 years, gc, assassinated)
  • Thadzhewoz the Foolish (3 years, assassinated)
  • Thagon the Scheming (1 year, 3-year civil war, killed in battle)

Oznorin Dynasty (32 years)[]

Hātson, one of Thagon's generals, seized the throne on May 15th and ended the three-year-long Thagonid Civil War.

  • Hātson the Cold (32 years)

First Šarai Dynasty (325 years)[]

The Šarainids were descendants of a rich family of Vilonian merchants with connections to many mercenary gangs who turned against their homeland. They looked "as white as a Northerner".

Back then, light-skinned people were seen as more unintelligent, so Serowon's early years were unwelcome to the people of Vozolaz, as they feared that he would be too stupid to govern the empire.

  • Sērowjon Lhauwuri the Humble (52 years)
    • His golden-blond hair became the namesake of his dynasty.
    • Serowjon was appointed as Emperor by Hatson, who did not have a spouse or any children, because Serowjon was seen as more capable than his officers. Hatson was rather surprised by how intelligent Serowjon was.
    • Serowjon became an inspiration for non-Vozonids everywhere in the empire, showing that they can achieve equality with Vozonids on the basis of personal merit instead of race.
  • Manditūr VIII the Builder (73 years, gc)
  • Manditūr IX the Happy (71 years, gc)
    • A golden age begun in Vozolaz (or Karūlaz) during his reign. His serene, smiling image became a popular icon among superstitious people.
    • On his third year, he moved the capital to Karutar.
  • Manditūr X the Strong (17 years, gc)
  • Ruazan VII the Kind (52 years, son, killed in an accident)
  • Oiril XI the Wise (62 years, gc; 955-1017 SE)
    • 16 June, 968 SE - On his 13th year, the 1000th birthday of Sarmelon I was observed. Parades of burning floats were brought around at midnight at every city to exorcise the spirits and tell them to repent to the Heavens.
    • 9 March, 1000 SE - On his 45th year, the 1000th anniversary of Sarmelon I's coronation was observed. A priest was dressed as the immortal Aljatroz in a gryphon costume, and he was clad as the founding emperor himself, to reenact the coronation and consecration in a ceremony. The ritual took place at the Imperial Temple.

Raukiroz Dynasty (123 years)[]

Rūkiwon III decided to rename his dynasty as "Raukiroz"; his dynasty, the Raukirids, were a peaceful dynasty whose careful policies continued Manditūr IX's prosperity for around a century. The capital city during that era was the royal city of Third Hattazon.

  • Rūkiwon III (21 years, son; 1017 SE-1038 SE)
    • 16 September, 1031 SE - When he begun his reign, he shifted the capital to his newly-built summer villa to the north near the Redjetesh border, Third Hattazon.
    • 24 February, 1031 SE - On his 14th year, Rukiwon III conducted the 1000th anniversary of Sarmelon I's death. Sixteen men in white robes bore a wooden statue of Sarmelon on his throne and laid it on a pyre.
  • Zāwijon II (22 years, son)
  • Rjūnō III (28 years, son)
    • Vozolaz's economy collapsed on January 10th in his 9th year.
  • Olhirjondo IV (28 years, son)
  • Zāro the Lonely (32 years, son, usurped)

Lhuriron Dynasty (299 years)[]

The Lhurirons were the family of a certain gatekeeper of Vozonid descent who decided to seize the Crystal Throne for himself. His takeover was known as the "Wenoruitaz Usurpation", after the new capital city of his dynasty.

  • Lhuri I (32 years)
  • Zoirondo (78 years, son)
    • Emperor Zoirondo wanted his allies an unusual request: to give him an annual tribute of invasive animals from their lands. In Vozolaz, they were either killed as meat or killed in hunting parks for sport, or kept as pets.
    • Rabbits and horses were especially popular, the former being a source of plentiful meat, and the latter for being a status symbol.
    • Hundreds of feral cats were adopted, that almost no Vozonid was willing to ever dare leave their new pets on the streets if they did not want them. They just gave them away to be sold or as a gift, even if the cats were adults or elders, and they were immediately purchased. Eventually, half of all foreign cats were spayed or neutered, restricting the animals to live with their humans until they eventually passed away.
    • Some were so pleased by the restoration of their lands' ecosystems, that they instead sacrificed their animals every month. This caused others to refer Vozolaz as the "world's abbatoir where animals go to die".
  • Lhuri II (61 years, gc)
  • Lhurijaz I (female, 49 years, gc)
    • On 3rd November on the 3rd year of her reign, the Karvūnids (as the Vozonids were called during her time) built a space fleet to compete with the other powerful nations of Jerde.
  • Lhurijaz II the Warmonger (female, 38 years, daughter)
    • On the 19th year of her reign, cuckoos in Vozolaz were exterminated again. Newer species of cuckoos managed to fly away and escape the slaughters of Emperor Zoirondo.
  • Lhurijaz III (female, 19 years, daughter)
  • Azeiloz (22 years, son)
    • On the 17th year of his reign, rats became extinct in Vozolaz again. Overspending on slaughtering pest animals, transportation, and modernising the space fleet worsened the Karvūnid Empire's finances.
    • On 14th of May on the 19th year of his reign, the burdened Karvūnid economy collapsed due to inflation.

Vūrzabanzon Interregnum (14 years)[]

Vūrzabanzon thought that Azeiloz was a weak and incompetent ruler, so he seized control of the government in a military coup. He also reset the imperial capital city to Khattusar, and renamed his nation back to "Vozolaz".

  • Vūrzabanzon (14 years)

Second Šarai Dynasty (315 years + 8 years = 323 years)[]

  • Hātson II the Jester-Poet (28 years, died of illness)
    • On 17th April on the 3rd year of his reign, the Vozonid economy recovered.

  • Lōbakrenoz II (68 years, gc)
  • Lauzorin I (47 years, gc)
  • Tazuwon I (47 years, gc)
    • During his reign, the Westward Expansion occurred, as Vozonids began conquering Īrajon and nearby islands from the Resovianti and other empires on the seas of the further west, beyond Gamall Freyrgard ("Old Freyrgard", Daleskarnia in the present day). This policy made the empire more powerful, starting a golden age.
    • On 14th May, on the 8th year of his reign, Wonnothar in the east replaced Khattusar as the capital city.
  • Glysnaikoz V the Careless (3 years, son, abdicated)
  • Bawomandoz IX the Mighty (71 years, brother)

First Konjor Invasion and after (114 years)[]

  • Wenoghlinoz XII (32 years, gc, killed in battle)
    • On September 4th on the 8th year of his reign, the Konjor Supercorporation invaded Jerde, forcing Wenoghlinoz to move his country westward to the jungles of Vilon. There, he gathered an army to fight the Konjors and drive them out of his land.
  • Losson IX Dūrotūr (29 years, son, killed in battle)
    • He led his forces in various offensives against the extra-terrestrial Konjor invaders.
  • Drōsuonoz the Valiant (61 years, son)
    • On January 13th on the 2nd year of his reign, the Konjors retreated to the nearby planet of Luril. The technology that they forgot to bring with them was used cautiously by some civilisations on Jerde, including Vozolaz, mostly as experiments to avoid causing great destruction.

Early Šarāznorui Dynasty (61 years)[]

The eldest of Drōsuonoz's two sons, Dasairathoz, decided to change the name of his dynasty to "Šarāznorui", in reference to the golden lily flower patterns of the left side of the national flag.

  • Dasairathoz I (53 years, gc)
    • The Konjor Civil War begun on May 7th on the 2nd year of his reign. Due to attacks on spacecraft that pass through Luril, many governments on Jerde heavily restrict space travel to avoid Konjor attacks.
  • Dasairathoz II (8 years, gc, died of asthma)
    • During his reign, he made the monarchy into a family of ill-behaved celebrities to imitate foreign celebrity cultures. He left one of his highest commanders in charge of the military.
    • After he died on 16th September, the country was split between ideological factions in a three-year civil war.

Ozoi Republic (16 years)[]

On the first year and third month of the Ranthuejorin Civil War, the Ozoi Republic reunited much of Vozolaz from its capital at Wonnothar.

  • President Khozrujo Gushoner (10 years)
    • Elected as President in the 9th month of the civil war. During his 2nd year, the civil war ended on 18th March.
  • President Waluas Wanuorishpo (6 years, overthrown)

Restored Šarāznorui Dynasty (662 years)[]

Ižowon, one of Dasairathoz II's nephews, seized control of the government. This dynasty was known as "the House of Queens" for the more-frequent monarchs of that era being female.

  • Ižowon (28 years, abdicated)
  • Āijandoz (32 years, son)
  • Lōbakrenoz II (22 years, son)
  • Jaupotūrō III (39 years, son)
  • Zāraijavoz (81 years, son)
    • As his mother was a Gauvajut, he was born with tan skin (instead of reddish) and green eyes.
  • Olhirjon (female, 71 years, gc)
    • From her reign onwards, the Vozonid imperial household experimented with matrilineal inheritance, with granddaughters inheriting the Vozonid Empire's throne instead of grandsons.
  • Vyrōlhqir I the Swift (female, 52 years, gc)
    • She was remembered for her love of dancing.
  • Thōwaijon (female, 28 years, daughter)
  • Ombariō (female, 9 months, daughter, died of a severe viral fever)
    • According to local folklore, Ombariō's disease was a punishment from the gods for her heavy arrogance and her heavy-handed policies that oppressed the people.
  • Gimærin (female, 52 years, daughter)
    • Her (or her officials') shrewd and steady policies helped Vozolaz avoid a worldwide economic crisis.
  • Ætšondoril (32 years, son)
    • Gimærin's only child, a son trained to become as intelligent as his mother.
    • The "matriarchal era" came to an end when he became Emperor, as his imperial court banned matrilineal inheritance in all government posts "for the sake of honouring the noble Gauvajut traditions".
    • Led his armies to defend the Vozonid Empire from a northern coalition and its dictator during his 24th-29th years.
  • Woikualoz Wandoriol (64 years, son)
    • Was notable for being a playful dancer.
  • Jangirwoz (71 years, gc)
  • Bāndotson I Aukolhoz (34 years, son)
    • During his reign, he promoted education (shown by the massive libraries built) and international trade. Vozolaz entered into a golden age at around the end of the 9th year of his reign.
  • Bāndotson II Wendorī̀noz (56 years, son, overthrown)
    • He was usurped by his nephew Narewau.

In total, the early Fourth Vozonid Empire Era lasted for 2,570 years, beginning with its foundation by Sarmelon I and ending with Narewau's misrule.

Trivia[]

  • The Sarmelonid Empire, or the Fourth Vozonid Empire, began 2,958 years after the end of the Sixteenth Age (12,978 16A), and ended 7,510 years after the end of the Sixteenth Age (20,488 16A)
